Capturin' the Freedmans Episode 2

  • Nov. 28th, 2009 at 2:06 AM
Here is the long-awaited second episode of Capturin' the Freedmans. This is the first one, in case you missed it, where I played a corpse. In this one, I play Homicide Detective Steven Cho. It's written, directed, and edited by Doug Freedman and myself.

So Tuesday was our interview with a local e-show that is set to launch in January. We just pumped out some new stuff and had some friends model in a small runway show that was filmed in a flower shop in Hamilton :) The interview went alright, but I think we're pretty happy with how our outfits looked. All of the photos were taken by my beautiful friend, Jacqueline! (Unless she's in the photo... in which case, it was just taken with her camera ;) ) ♥

walk, walk fashion baby. work it, i'm a free bitch baby )
Don't forget to visit Periwinkle Boutique in Bloor West Village to check out some of these pieces, starting this Saturday! We're also marking down a ton of stuff to clear out old stock... just in time for some Christmas shopping :)

What is the cost of a brain?

  • Nov. 27th, 2009 at 8:54 PM

(x-posted from www.TwinkieChan.com/blog)

You guys. We just went to Goodwill to check out plates and candle sticks to make more ghetto cakestands, and I just bought the most awesome thing ever.

BEHOLD! A BRAIN!!!!!!!!!

This has inspired me to start a new collection of Goodwill/Garage sale school-project glazed ceramic objects. Maybe one day, I could have an art show with all my anonymous, grade-school "art" pieces, lovingly collected throughout the years. I need to find out if my parents still have my piece d'resistance from my childhood: it was a clay goblet that I glazed blue with little yellow fish all over it. It was really hard to keep its shape while I was making it, so then I just squished the cup part together and it was all deformed. It ruled.

I believe the brain is signed on the inside, but it's hard to make out. JTG? JT6?

Why did you guys ever give this away???

This brain did not have a price tag on it, so when I went to pay for it, I told the lady.

Me: This brain does not have a price tag on it.

Lady: What is the cost of a brain?

Me: (turning to Hairy) Priceless.

Lady: (punches in $0.05)

WIN!!!!

Linds let me model her new weenie tee!!! Which happened to perfectly match this felted yellow hair bow I am selling. I also got to show the world my Bobart the Weinerdog purse!!

Here's the quick story on Bobart:

My friend Margaret took me to the mall in highschool or college and asked me to pick something out for my birthday present. I picked this adorable weinerdog purse. We were walking around and trying to give a good name to this purse, and I said BALLPARK, like Ballpark Franks. Margaret thought I had said BOBART, and so it was.

To pick up your own awesome weenie tee, check out Sick for Cute which is having a downright insane $12 tee sale! If you want the one and only yellow felted hair bow with rainbow pom poms, hit up My Etsy Shop which still has lowered craft-fair pricing until Monday!

p.s. Check out Shrinkle's latest blog entry for TONS of photos of the Hello Kitty Fashion show. Laughter. Tears. The whole shebang!!!!!

I'll look around
Until I've found someone
Who laughs like you

I know somewhere
Spring must fill the air
With sweetness just as rare
As the flower
That you gave me to wear

I look around
And when I've found someone
Who laughs like you
I'll know this love
I'm dreaming of
Won't be the old love
I always knew

I know somewhere
Love must fill the air
With sweetness just as rare
As the flower
That you gave me to wear

I look around
And when I've found someone
Who laughs like you
I'll know this love
I'm dreaming of
Won't be the old love
I always knew

everything is really really perfect, but sometimes i'm still sad.
will i ever stop missing all the little things?

MEET NAMI

  • Nov. 26th, 2009 at 6:18 PM
The first of many cat posts.

[info]fairytale_tea and I are a lesbian couple with a cat baby name Nami.

I've always wanted a pet but have always lived in places I couldn't have them. While I do prefer dogs over cats, I am not home enough to take care of something that requires more attention, hence steering towards to the path of the feline.

[info]die_sama told me about a stray that lived near her workplace that was the product of two cats a neighboring business had who aren't spayed or neutered. We saw pictures of her and agreed to take the skinny gray cat with rings on her tail in to our home. Die did all the hard work of taking her to the vet to have her baby making abilities taken away and cleaned at the groomers. She was so dirty that they charged her extra.

Meet Nami. She thinks she's head BIC )

OH DEAR LORD SHE JUST SNEEZED IN MY FACE!!!!

BIOSHOCK COSPLAY

Well fuck. No one will ever beat this. Cosplaying should cease to exist now because everyone will look like n00bs no matter what they're wearing or who they're pretending to be.

thanksgiving.

i am alone today partly by choice. i will most likely eat frozen fake chicken wings and some trader joe's frozen mac n cheese today. it's okay because technically, i'm treating today like any other day off, and will have my real thanksgiving tomorrow, when i get to go up and see my parents.

i have to admit, i have been really cranky the past few days, and am not in the best emotional state, but today i should really focus on what's important and give thanks and release feelings of gratitude into the world. i can't think of many things to be thankful for right now because i'm sour. mainly, i am thankful for my fucked up crazy ass family. i have a sister that i admire and look up to, and parents who's always done the best they could with the little they are given. i have a bunch of really inspiring friends who are all capable of such amazing things, and am especially thankful for all the new friends i've made lately. thankful for my job that i enjoy so much. i am thankful for a $400 utilities included rent. i am forever thankful for my sweet, sweet dog, who i sometimes feel is the only companion i have in my life.

have a happy one.

I will be in Delaware, hanging out with my family that I haven't seen in almost 2 years. Yikes!

My sister lives in DE, and just a had a baby sort of recently, hence not going to Pittsburgh for the holidays. LAME!

But anyway, have a lovely turkey day! I shall be on a plane in about 7 hours.. red-eye flight...... vomit...!
